Location: Hale, Altrincham, North-West England
Diocese of Chester
St Peter’s Church, Hale, Altrincham
St Peter’s is an Anglican Parish Church with a strong choral tradition. Our adult choir of 16 (SATB) sing at our main Sunday morning Service (2015 average attendance: 91 adults and 12 children); also at two evening Services (BCP Evensong and BCP Choral Evensong, each once a month), and at major Festivals. Choir practice is on Friday evenings. Members of our congregations are keen to support our choir and are appreciative of the commitment of choir members.
Our present organist has moved away following a promotion at work, and we are therefore looking to appoint a suitably experienced Organist to support our new Director of Music in further developing our choral music ministry at St Peter’s.
Our 2 manual pipe organ, electric action, was refurbished in 2005.
Remuneration in the region of £3,000 pa, depending on qualifications and experience, plus fees for Weddings and Funerals.
